How Our Barrier System Works
A two-part approach — a deep cedar mulch trench plus cedar oil treatment — installed right where ticks enter your property.
Trench Installation
We dig a 3-foot wide by 1-foot deep trench along the edge of your property — right where your lawn meets the woods or brush. This is where ticks migrate from, and where your barrier needs to be strongest.
Premium Cedar Mulch Fill
The trench is packed with premium cedar mulch. The wide, deep fill creates a substantial physical barrier that ticks are highly reluctant to cross — the dry, aromatic cedar environment is hostile to them.
Cedar Oil Treatment
We follow up with targeted cedar oil applications throughout the barrier zone. Cedar oil provides additional repellent and contact-kill properties, reinforcing the physical barrier with a chemical-free aromatic deterrent.
